Events Specialist (Austin) -- Company Confidential

Description:Position: Events Specialist (Austin-based -- sorry, no relocations)

Reporting to: Sr. Manager, Brand Communities Marketing

Perform tasks to support marketing activities for events and tradeshows. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Research events, pull forms, deadlines, hotel info, etc. as requested
• Preparation of events logistics (imaging updates, unpack cases, pack cases, track inventory, keep inventory current, prepare shipping labels, send out equipment) as requested)
• Complete paperwork for ordering of all services, as needed
• Set up and communicate deliverables for events.
• Project manage events by keeping track of due dates, as needed
• Manage tradeshow high tech inventory and OS/software images with the company’s Evaluation (Eval) Center
• Work with Eval Center on unit needs, images needed and shipping
• Maintain Events Page on the company’s internet site.
• Maintain Events Campaigns in CRM
• Manage leads collected and prepare in proper and accurate formats for importing into Treehouse and CRM databases
• Follow up with internal employees and outside vendors on deadlines and deliverables.
• Travel to tradeshows and conferences to help with setup, work the show, and pack up for return shipments

Qualifications:Qualifications and Experience:

The applicant must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

Must have good interpersonal skills to work with cross-discipline departments and outside vendors and customers

Knowledge of tradeshows, convention centers, unions required

PC hardware/software technical knowledge preferred

Ability to setup wireless networks preferred

Must be able to travel

Overtime (nights and weekends) required to meet show deadlines, and working shows

Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. required
